The Zeekr car brand had initially been envisioned as completely electric, but today, its CEO An “Andy An” Conghui admitted that the company was working on its first hybrid.
It is a high-end crossover utility vehicle set to debut in the second half of 2025. There are still no images of it, but the company says it aims at the same market segment as Li Auto with its part-electric vehicle branch. The SUV has no name yet, but we know that it will go all-electric by default and only use the petrol engine when rapid acceleration is needed. The latest Nvidia Drive Thor chipset will ensure smooth running of its numerous electronic systems.
In the meantime, Zeekr continues its global expansion with the coming to the market of Australia. The company’s compact-sized X SUV (seen in the gallery here) is already available for ordering Down Under. Japan stands next in the queue, with the shipments scheduled to start in 2025.
