2026 Changan Uni-V previewed in photos

Changan has posted some official images of its refreshed Uni-V liftback in China. AutoHome.cn believes that it will be advertised as a new generation on the domestic market.

Compared to the current version, the new Uni-V has a distinctly different front end. The bezel-free grille is gone, and the bumper looks much more aggressive with its larger air intakes. The door handles are now perfectly flush with the panels, and a fake diffuser with four large exhaust tips appeared at the rear.

The interior has a completely different layout that looks more reasonable than its predecessor did. The mess of displays mounted at varying lengths from the windshield is gone, replaced with a simple digital instrument cluster and a head unit. The protruding “button island” is also no longer there, but at least the climate controls are still physical. The transmission tunnel looks smoother and less cluttered, and the transmission lever has been redesigned. Last but not least, the steering wheel is new and has a dedicated Sport Mode button.

As for the powertrain, most specs had leaked online when the new Uni-V was registered in the patent database. Apparently, there will be two Blue Whale 3.0 petrol turbo engines to choose from. The 1.5-liter option is good for 192 PS (189 hp / 141 kW) and the 20-liter one can do 235 PS (232 hp / 173 kW). The transmission is seven-speed dual-clutch in case of the former and eight-speed automatic for the latter.
