Honda Accord gets next-gen autopilot upgrade

Customers in Japan going for the top-of-the-line Honda Accord spec will now benefit from a considerably improved Honda Sensing 360+ package.

It lets drivers briefly take their hands off the steering wheel, but only on select highway sections. The system allegedly uses ultra-precise navigation data to pass complex intersections, change lanes and overtake other cars while toggling the turn indicators on and off as needed.

Only the flagship spec, which starts from ¥6,000,000 in Japan (U.S. $42,000), has got the update so far.
