Inkas bulletproofs the latest Toyota Land Cruiser

Canadian armored vehicle specialist Inkas Armored has produced another impressive-looking armored car, this time around a Toyota Land Cruiser 250.

The off-roader features ballistic steel plates and bulletproof windows that correspond to the BR6 armoring standard. In turn, the passengers inside the cabin are protected in accordance with the CEN standard. Aside from assorted bodywork reinforcements, the vehicle ended up with a second tailgate for extra security, an armored undercarriage, fuel tank plating and extra protection along the panel seams to catch bullets that would otherwise seep through the cracks.

On top of the above, the Land Cruiser pictured here received a set of Run-Flat tires. Inkas lists a host of further options for those interested, such as strobe lights, engine bay armor, and an emergency hatch in the roof. Evacuation shouldn’t normally be a priority for owners, however, because the car can be optioned with a fire extinguishing system and an oxygen filter.

Based on your selected extra features, Inkas reinforces the suspension to withstand the total weight of the car. The engine seems to stay stock, which in the case of the Land Cruiser 250 implies a turbo four-pot hybridized to deliver 330 PS (326 hp / 243 kW) and 620 Nm (456 lb-ft) of torque.
