Jaguar Land Rover has announced the forthcoming premiere of a Grand Tourer running on pure electric power. It will take place in the USA soon, with the specific date still unknown.

Jaguar’s upmarket move strategy revealed last year envisioned the U.K. company raising in status from premium to luxury carmaker. It’s now about to bear its first fruit: the still-unnamed GT is said to rival the best offerings from Bentley and Porsche.
