Ineos Grenadier puts on a badass suit from Chelsea

When Ineos announced the intention to produce a “spiritual successor” to the Land Rover Defender Classic, it really wanted to keep the SUV simple and clutter-free. Still, Chelsea Truck Company felt there was a niche to fill by offering a rugged body kit for the Grenadier.

If you are familiar with Kahn Design and its creations, you will recognize the style straight away. The package is called “Series II Expedition” and includes new wheel arches with bolt-on fenders, new bumpers with larger air vents, an upper rear spoiler, and power running boards with a backlight. The entire kit is made from carbon fiber, and while some components stay naked, others get coated in a matte black paint the company styles “3D Military Textured”.

20-inch RS Forged wheels fill out the new arches well along with 37-inch all-terrain tires. The suspension benefits from a 30mm (1.2-inch) lift. A 3.0-liter BMW I6 engine continues its duty under the hood, delivering its standard 286 PS (282 hp / 210 kW) along with 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.

The interior shines in a new light thanks to fresh Nappa leather upholstery in red and bucket seats in the front row. The dashboard and the headliner stay stock.

The Grenadier pictured here is currently up for grabs on the tuner’s official website in the UK with less than 1,200 kilometers (750 miles) on the odo. The asking price is £94,000, which translates into U.S. $122,000. Even if it goes before you can place the order, Chelsea Truck Company will happily build another one for you.
