Audi and Porsche bring production to the USA

The two German automakers plan to launch their own car assembly lines in the United States soon.

The Volkswagen Group industrial complex in Chattanooga, Tennessee is already undergoing an upgrade to meet the needs of the local market.

Reports also came in that Audi is considering releasing an SUV in the United States based on the same platform as the Scout Traveler seen in the gallery here. This remains to be confirmed.

The decision to localize the production in the USA arrives shortly after President Donald Trump’s promise to impose high tariffs on vehicle imports.
