Novelties
Here are the first interior images of the next-generation Prelude coupe that Honda plans to launch in late 2025.
From what we can see, the instrument panel, the infotainment system and the climate control interface are all the same as the latest Civic. The biggest difference in sight is the transmission selector, which is now implemented as a button pad. Note also a dedicated button for the S+ Shift mode.
Interestingly, the driver’s and the front passenger’s seat are different now. The driver seemingly gets enhanced lumbar support and a stiffer seat frame, while the passenger gets a softer, better padded version.
The technical specifications are still unknown. Unofficial sources claim the new Prelude will ride on the same platform as the Civic, which implies a more rigid frame, a shorter wheelbase and a wider track. The suspension and the steering will likely be overhauled from the ground up. For the powertrain, everything points to a 2.0-liter engine assisted by an electric motor.
