Meet the Tuthill GT One, a supercar with Porsche 911 GT1 charms

UK-based niche automaker and Porsche tuner Tuthill has rolled out a mid-engined supercar known as the GT One. It rocks bodywork inspired by the 911 GT1 from the 1990s and is coming to us limited to 22 production units.

For the powertrain, customers will be choosing between a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine and its turbocharged counterpart. The former option will deliver 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW), while the latter will generate 608 PS (600 hp / 447 kW). Both will be obtainable with a seven-speed manual or dual-clutch transmission.

The whole body is made from carbon fiber. Every component, including the roof scoop, the sculptured tail-end with integrated spoiler and the wheels, has been custom-designed for the project. The headlights are styled after those of the Porsche, but benefit from diode internals. Tuthill also briefly mentions an aerodynamic undercarriage plate and an optional track-ready body kit.

The interior is dominated by a mild shade of beige and houses only two seats. There is a large digital instrument cluster, a vintage three-spoke steering wheel and numerous tumblers not unlike those found in purebred racecars. A roll cage and carbon-fiber inserts in the doors are meant to ensure safety in the event of rollover. Tuthill points out double-wishbone suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes with bespoke calipers at all four corners.

Producing just one such car takes up to 3,500 workhours. Extensive customization opportunities mean that every example turns out unique. All prices and delivery dates are pending.
