Singer rolls out with yet another tasteful 911 restomod

Singer’ s latest take on the Porsche 911 comes with two tail-end options: you can choose whichever you like or just buy both and swap them whenever the mood hits.

The original car chosen for the project is none other than the 911 Carrera SSE, which stands for Super Sport Equipment. In its stock form, it’s quite a capable sports machine with a 3.2-liter naturally aspirated engine, flared fenders, larger spoilers, performance brakes and the same suspension as the 911 (930) Turbo – Porsche’s first turbocharged 911.

Singer reckoned that the coupe could use some extra muscle, so it swapped the engine to a bigger four-liter flat-six. It still doesn’t have any forced induction, but manages to extract a solid 426 PS (420 hp / 310 kW) from its displacement. It’s also a wild liquid-cooled unit that revs up to 8,000 RPM and relies on a six-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels.

Aside from a completely overhauled exterior, Singer offers two rear end designs. One envisions a large fixed wing, while the other one features a smaller active wing. As we said above, these are interchangeable, so getting both should be the way to go.

Note also the small round hatches in the hood – they conceal a pair of beautifully retro pop-up headlights. As for the interior, the tuning company argues that customers alone shall decide what they want to see there. After all, some buy their restomod for the race track, while others have casual daily driving in mind. For both use cases, Singer has you covered with a wide assortment of trimming materials and colors.
