Renault cuts Megane E-Tech powertrain options, adds features

The fully electric Renault Megane E-Tech loses some motor and battery options this year in favor of premium trim options and extended features.

Specifically, customers can no longer opt for the smallest battery size (40 kWh) and the low-end motor (131 PS / 129 hp / 96 kW). This leaves shoppers for a new E-Tech with just one model producing 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW) with a 60-kWh battery pack on board.

On the upside, those looking for a sportier city car may pay extra for a package called Esprit Alpine. It adds lots of black trim bits all around, matching black 20-inch wheels and blue interior accents.

Drivers will also appreciate to know that the 2025 Megane E-Tech supports one-pedal driving and power sharing with external appliances.

Prices in France start from €39,500.
