Nissan Skyline GT-R reimagined with electric internals

Nissan has posted a single photo of an upcoming Skyline GT-R EV.

The electric restomod is based on the R32 chassis and will make it debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January. Very little is known about the project right now, with Nissan assuring us that it did its best to “preserve the charm” of the original car.

According to a number of Japanese publications, the electromod has little to do with the car it is based upon. Among other things, they say it runs on a completely different chassis that accommodates two e-motors and has a revised interior as well.
