Volkswagen Passat CC gets an outstanding body kit from a Russian tuner

You don’t often see cars like the Volkswagen Passat CC on the streets. Sure, the ‘CC’ bit stands for ‘Comfort Coupe’ and has a good reason for it. The car is a treat, both in terms of exterior design and cabin trim. It is the engine palette that strikes us as strange, though. The choice is vast, but most buyers end up getting the 2.0-liter TDI variant rated somewhere between 140 and 184 hp (104 – 137 kW). This is not a comfortable level of performance by any modern standard. Then, of course, there is the 300-hp (224-kW) 3.6-liter V6 option, but it comes with an unpopular price tag, to say the least.

Nonetheless, Russian tuner Lion’s Kit wants to show us just such a Passat CC. The car sports an in-house made body kit called the S1, which includes 20 components. Among other things, there are fender flares that add 50 mm (2 inches) to the car width on each side, a front spoiler, new side skirts with extensions, a rear diffuser, and a trunk lip. The tuner opts for exposed hardware for the middle-class sedan/saloon, but, in our opinion, it somehow ends up looking just right and not a bit out of place.

The Lion’s Kit display vehicle rides on air suspension and gorgeous Radi8 r8t12 forged rims. It also boasts tuner logos and decals throughout.

Not bad at all, don’t you think?
