Audi C7 RS6 gets turned into a dream family ride

One can hardly claim that the latest Audi RS6 Avant (C8) isn’t good enough as an executive family car. But is it that much of an improvement over the C7? Not really if you can afford to invest in aftermarket mods, Auditography claims.

The well-known Audi photographer owns this seventh-gen station wagon, which wears an ABT Sportsline body kit and 22-inch light alloys of the same brand. Some of the carbon-fiber details come from an RS6-R package dating as far back as 2014, but the overall impression is nonetheless that of a modern and style-conscious luxury vehicle.

The 4.0-liter V8 under the hood enjoys a massage that raises its output to 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) and 950 Nm (700 lb-ft) of torque. As a result, the family hauler zaps from nothing to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.91 seconds, proceeds to hit 200 km/h (124 mph) in 10.89 seconds, and only maxes out upon reaching 330 km/h (205 mph). Better make sure everyone is buckled up before attempting that, right?

Other noteworthy points include an exhaust system with a machine gun-like chatter and a gorgeous new steering wheel finished in Alcantara and carbon. Watch the video for the rest.
