Cadillac Optiq Updates for 2026 Model Year

The Cadillac Optiq electric vehicle is receiving updates for its 2026 model year, including changes to its powertrain configurations and performance figures. The Optiq is positioned as an accessible EV within Cadillac's lineup.

A new single-motor setup for 2026 offers 315 horsepower, an increase from the previous year's dual-motor configuration which produced 300 horsepower. The 2026 dual-motor version sees an output increase to 440 horsepower. The single-motor variant can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. Its EPA estimated range is 317 miles, while most dual-motor versions are rated at 303 miles. The Optiq comes equipped with a NACS charging port, but its maximum charging rate is 150 kilowatts.

The vehicle features steel springs and passive dampers. Super Cruise, a hands-free driver-assist system, is standard. The interior includes a mix of materials such as tweed-like mesh cloth and felt-looking cloth, along with brightwork. It offers physical buttons below the center touchscreen and a rotary controller. The infotainment system does not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, but it includes built-in Google Maps and app support. The vehicle lacks a standalone on/off button.
