2nd-gen Ford Everest unveiled on official terms

Ford introduced the second generation of its Ranger pickup in November, following it up with a performance-focused Raptor version, and has now finally revealed its SUV counterpart called the Everest.

The second-gen Ford Everest has the same front end as the Ranger, but an original rear end. It also features a digital dashboard, a vertical touchscreen display in the middle and other modern niceties.

Like before, the off-roader has permanent AWD and spring-based rear suspension. It uses the same engines as the Ranger, specifically four- and six-cylinder turbo diesels, as well as an EcoBoost petrol engine. For transmission, buyers can choose between six- and ten-speed automatic.

The list of electronic assists has been expanded to include smart cruise control, blind spot monitoring, trailer assist, and self-parking. Matrix LED headlights and a SYNC 4 infotainment system are also mentioned.
