Monochrome Luxury: Mansory unveils a more restrained P820 Linea D’Arabo

Kourosh Mansory’s design studio has rolled out another highly customized Mercedes G-Class for a Middle East client. Finished in almost all grey, it may be the most understated vehicle in the company’s Linea D’Arabo lineup – in terms of color, at least.

Working with a standard Mercedes-AMG G 63, Mansory wrapped its metal body in carbon fiber, adding bespoke trims to the front end, the a-pillars, the lower sides and the rear end. In the end, the glass dome and the roof were the only areas left uncladded.

While the Mansory P820 Linea D’Arabo may not be a colorful car, it still stands out thanks to an all-new and aggressive front bumper, fender flares and rear diffuser, as well as dozens of other purely ornamental add-ons. Its rear doors swing open to the back like Rolls-Royce’s, and the running boards are power-assisted.

Similar styling can be seen in the cabin, which was retrimmed in fine perforated black leather. The steering wheel, the door panels, the pedals and the floor mats are all new, and the rear seat row is represented by two extra-comfy aftermarket seats equipped with drop-down picnic tables. Needless to mention, Mansory badges spring at you wherever you look.

The tuner never revealed any powertrain details, but its long-standing naming convention makes us believe that “P820” refers to the metric horsepower rating. In other words, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood of this G-Wagen likely pushes 820 PS (809 hp / 603 kW) to the wheels, a major improvement over the standard 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW).
