Murdered-out G63 6x6 replica fetches $206k at auction

Bring a Trailer just found a new owner for a rare and desirable Mercedes-AMG G63 6x6. These rare and elusive off-roaders tend to go for around a million USD these days, but what you see here isn’t the original, but an aftermarket replica. The seller parted with $206,000.

If you know Apocalypse Manufacturing, you’ll immediately recognize the Floridan tuner’s craftsmanship in the build. Working with a regular 2019 Mercedes-AMG G 63, the team converted it into a pickup truck while extending the chassis and grafting a third axle to it. The arches were generously flared at both ends, and 22-inch Brabus wheels slotted into the wells. A sun hatch was cut in the roof, and a window wiper appeared at the rear glass.

The G-Wagen’s stock 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 was retained with its original 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. Apocalypse Manufacturing went through the pain of routing the power to all six wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. All three differential locks, both inter-wheel and interaxle, are said to be fully functional, and the ground clearance is higher than ever for any off-road fun the new owner may have in mind.

Inside, highlights include a three-zone HVAC, Burmeiser audio with a subwoofer, and a Starry Sky LED ceiling inspired by Rolls-Royce vehicles. The seats are draped in red and black leather.

The original Mercedes-AMG G63 6x6 was released in 2013 limited to just 100 production units, so no wonder the few surviving examples are hunted for.
