Jaguar lines up 3 e-SUVs to compete with Bentley

Jaguar plans to review its product lineup by 2025, complementing it with three electric crossover SUVs from different market segments. In their top trim versions, all three will be able to compete with Bentley cars in terms of luxury and comfort.

To this end, Jaguar is developing a new platform named Pantera together with Magna Engineering. The aluminum vehicle architecture supports 800V internals and either one or two electric motors. Widespread use of recycled materials should improve the ecological image of this new lineup.

Other priorities include impressive multimedia capabilities, plentiful online services and advanced self-driving tech on board, for which Nvidia is contracted to provide the hardware and software.

Prices are expected to fall within the range of £80,000 – £200,000 ($96,000 – $240,000) depending on the particular model and trim level. SVR performance versions will also be available. Planned production figures do not exceed 50,000 – 60,000 units per year.

Jaguar says the first preview of its new design philosophy will make debut in metal in two years’ time. Meanwhile, the marque will keep offering its I-Pace e-SUV (see the gallery and the video).
