Hyundai Kona gets a volcano-themed special in Japan
Customers in Japan may now order the all-electric Hyundai Kona (see video) in a special trim version called Mauna Loa in honor of the world’s largest active volcano situated in Hawaii.
The SUV flaunts a black plastic body kit that transforms its entire front fascia. It also wears rail bars on the roof and an exclusive exterior finish known as Mirage. The company also replaces the stock 17-inch wheels wrapped in 215/60 R17 tires with a smaller set wearing 205/65 R16 rubber, likely to increase range.
Only 30 examples will be made and offered from ¥4,950,000.
