Porsche Celebrates 75 Years in UK with Limited 911 GT3

Porsche Cars GB is marking 75 years since the 356 coupe and convertible debuted at the London Earls Court Motor Show in October 1951. The UK has since become Porsche's fourth-largest global market.

To commemorate this, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur has produced 51 units of a new 911 GT3 Touring Earls Court 51 Edition for the British market. The car is based on the 911 GT3 with the Touring Package, which omits the standard GT3's fixed rear wing. It retains the 911 GT3's 502 horsepower output. The special edition features a bespoke Earls Court Green metallic finish, inspired by the original 1951 356, and an interior with corduroy and leather in Night Green and Chalk Beige. An embossed 356 silhouette and the phrase “driving in its purest form” are included on the door trim. Porsche also restored a 1951 356 from its collection, repainting it in the same Earls Court Green with a matching interior.

This anniversary car is part of a wider investment push across Porsche's UK dealer network, which currently includes 49 sales and service sites. Recent investments have supported larger showrooms and workshops in Guildford and Bristol, along with a new satellite location in South Dublin. A new parts warehouse is under construction in Didcot, Oxfordshire, to replace the existing Beenham site. Porsche is also training approximately 200 apprentices at its Reading headquarters for technician, parts, and service advisor roles.
