Meet Taliant and Clio for Brazil, actually a Logan and Sandero in disguise

After the third generation of the Dacia Logan and Sandero hit the market (watch the video if you missed it), many foresaw their launch on other markets under Renault branding.

Brazil will be getting both models next year under new names, specifically Renault Taliant and Clio. This is necessary for the company to continue offering the second-gen Logan and Sandero in the country.

The Renault Taliant sedan has already shown up on patent pics, and the Clio so far only exists as a trademark in Brazil – no images or specs. Still, Renault says it will share the CMF-B platform with the Clio for Europe and the body with the third-gen Sandero, although the Brazil version will be a bit larger.

The 1.0- and 1.6-liter SCe engines rated at 82 and 118 hp will remain available, and there will be a new 1.0-liter three-pot rated at 110 hp as well.

The interior will be the same as that of the EU-spec Logan and Sandero expect for the wheel and air vent design, the company reports.
