Hennessey’s older 1,000-HP ‘Vette can be yours for $130k+

A seventh-gen Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 with Hennessey Performance upgrades under the hood is up for grabs on Bring-a-Trailer website right now. It has 8,000 km (5,000 miles) on the odometer and is already being traded at $130,000 with four days on the auction clock.

The car left the factory in 2019 and received full HPE1000 package treatment four years later. The stock 6.2-liter supercharged V8 was rebuilt for a boost from its original 765 PS (755 hp / 563 kW) to a cool 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 747 kW). The torque was capped at 1,310 Nm (966 lb-ft). Hennessey replaced the valves with springs, the pushrods, the air intake system and the cylinder heads, among other things. It also reprogrammed the ECU to account for the modifications.

On the exterior side of things, the car looks virtually stock unless you count the tuner’s badges and the ZTK Track Performance package including a large front splitter and a racing-style rear wing. The package is available straight from the factory, though.
