Next-gen Hyundai Palisade debuts with specs, starts from $30k+

Hyundai has revealed the official specifications of its new Palisade for the domestic market. In South Korea, the large SUV can already be preordered starting from 43.83 million KRW, which translates into U.S. $30,200.

The base spec makes do with a 2.5-liter turbo engine rated at 281 PS (277 hp / 207 kW) and 422 Nm (311 lb-ft) of torque. Paying extra gets you a mild hybrid with 334 PS (329 hp / 246 kW) with the same engine at the base. It features a 1.65-kWh battery pack and can exceed 1,000 km (621 miles) of range.

The 2025 Palisade is 5,060 mm (197.7 inches) long with 2,970 mm (116 inches) of wheelbase. It has three seat rows and can seat either seven or nine passengers, depending on the trim level. The rear bench can be moved forward or backwards by up to 110 mm (4.3 inches), and the trunk fits 615 liters (21.7 cubic feet) of luggage without any folded seats.

Hyundai’s Electronic Controlled Suspension (ECS) makes its official debut on the new Palisade. It uses a number of sensors and navigation data to pre-configure the shock absorbers based on the road surface ahead. As a result, drivers can expect less swaying, less roll and more overall comfort.

The gas-powered version of the SUV is set to ship in Korea in mid-January. Its hybrid counterpart, with certification still pending, is slated to arrive later in H1 2025.
