Lynk&Co 05 revealed in first teaser pics

Chinese carmaker Lynk & Co has posted three images showing its upcoming new SUV, the 05. The model is technically the fourth on the lineup, but was given the ‘05’ designation due to ‘4’ being an unlucky number in China.

From what little can be seen, the Lynk&Co 05 differs from its predecessors quite a bit. It sports a new radiator grille design, c-pillar air openings looking like gills, and completely restyled taillights.

While not official, rumors persist that the 05 will hit the dealerships with the 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbo engine made by Volvo under the hood. The mill in question normally outputs 180 hp (134 kW) in conjunction with an eight-speed auto transmission. Other engine options are also likely, but no further information is available right now. Prices should lie in the 250,000 – 300,000 Chinese Yuan range (35,750 – 42,900 USD).
