Exeed announces Exlantix-badged large SUV, sports car and minivan

Exeed has hosted a special event in China dedicated to the future of its new electric vehicle lineup called Sterra, known outside of the country as Exlantix. AutoHome is reporting that the company plans to expand its portfolio to six EVs over the next three years, each of them designed to support a variety of powertrains.

At the moment, the Sterra/Exlantix lineup consists of a sedan called the ES and a crossover SUV named the ET. Both are set to go into production as purely electric vehicles soon, but serial hybrid variants will debut in 2024. In case you didn’t know, ‘serial’ hybrids – or ‘range extenders’, REX hybrids – are cars that use a conventional engine to generate electric power and extend the electric mileage.

In 2024, a new crossover SUV is slated to join the Exlantix family – a larger and more luxurious model. It will become the flagship of its lineup and go on sale with two types of powertrains. More affordable models are scheduled to arrive the year after that. The Exeed Sterra will be a compact coupe-like SUV and the marque’s first two-door vehicle. Rumors say it could be based on the Chery iCar GT Concept.

In 2026, Exeed plans to release a full-size electric MPV to rival the likes of Voyah Dreamer.
