Geely teases another electric SUV

Geely has posted some photos of the Galaxy E5, its first all-electric crossover set for release under Galaxy branding. It is scheduled to reach the showrooms in China later in Q2 2024.

The vehicle is 4,615 mm (180.3 inches) long, 1,901 mm (74.3 in) wide and 1,670 mm (65.3 in) tall with 2,750 mm (107.5 in) of wheelbase. It rides on wheels sized up to 19 inches large and utilizes the automaker’s GEA architecture, an evolutionary step forward from its SEA platform.

It is still unknown what powertrain choices will be available at launch, but Geely patented the design with a single 218-PS (215-hp / 160-kW) motor and a top speed of 175 km/h (108 mph).

Seeing how the company had been testing RHD variants of the Galaxy E5, it would make sense for it to go on sale in a number of other markets as well. In China, the starting price should be close to 150,000 Yuan.
