World’s strongest, fastest mass-produced Aston Martin touches down with 835 PS

Aston Martin has introduced the latest and greatest Vanquish GT so far, calling it the marque’s new flagship for the foreseeable future. With a 5.2-liter turbo V12 under the hood, it can attain an unprecedented top speed of 344 km/h (214 mph).

The twin-turbocharged engine sends 835 PS (824 hp / 614 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels through an eight-speed AT and a limited-slip differential. It needs just 3.2 seconds to reach 96.6 km/h (60 mph).

In terms of chassis improvements, the new Vanquish is the company’s first vehicle to take advantage of heavy-duty stabilizers all around, Bilstein DTX adaptive shocks tuned to maximize the difference between drive presets, and other ESP and steering enhancements.

The newcomer is 75% more rigid than the DBS and rides on 21-inch wheels. A peek behind the spokes reveals 410mm (16-inch) large carbon-ceramic brake rotors at the front and 360mm (15-inch) ones at the back.

The exterior looks more or less typical for the brand, but the rear end deserves a separate mention with its giant diffuser, a spoiler and taillights composed of seven horizontal light bars each. For the exhaust system, buyers can choose between stainless steel and titanium.

The interior offers two seats, two 10.25-inch displays and 15 speakers of the Bowers&Wilkins make. The seats are 16-way power-adjustable and have some luggage space behind, but it’s not much.

Shipments are set to begin in Q4 2024. Rumors place the minimum price at U.S. $420,000.
