Mazda MX-5 gets a pricey “last-of-its-kind” edition in Belgium

Gisele Racing, a Belgian importer and tuner of Mazda cars, has announced a limited series of MX-5 roadsters called “Geshi”. A handful of accessories and a classic 2.0-liter Wankel engine will cost you a hefty €21,000 premium over the stock model.

Arguably the biggest feature of the limited edition is its Skyactiv-G four-cylinder rotary engine tuned to deliver 184 PS (181 hp / 136 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. This version of the MX-5 is almost sold out in Europe with no new shipments expected anytime soon, so it could be considered exclusive.

The exterior is dark green with white, yellow and black accents throughout. The design is inspired by Sekki, a Japanese calendar consisting of 24 seasons. This is also why only 24 cars will be offered to the public.

A look inside the arches reveals BBS alloy wheels with yellow calipers. Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs cater for a lower ride height.

Complementing the green body are a sand-colored cloth top and a cream-tinted leather interior. To justify the €53,000 asking price, the seller throws some accessories into the mix – an exclusive GMT Chronographs wristwatch, a pair of retro driver’s gloves and a couple of decorated key holders.
