Jetta VA7 flagship saloon goes on pre-order in China

Customers in China can already pay 118,777 Yuan to be the first in line when the Jetta VA7 mid-size sedan ships. Multiple early order bonuses are included in the sale.

The VA7 is the fourth production car introduced in the country by the Jetta brand co-founded between Volkswagen and FAW. According to AutoHome.cn, the car itself is just a rebadged VW Sagitar running on the same tech. It is 4,773 mm long, 1,789 mm wide and 1,469 mm tall with 2,731 mm of wheelbase. The bumpers and the radiator grille are new, but that’s about it. The trunk is fairly roomy with 553 liters (19.5 cubic feet) of space by default.

Customers can pick from a wide variety of options, such as wheels sized up to 18 inches large, panoramic roof, digital dashboard, larger infotainment screen, and HVAC. There is only one trim available for ordering right now, but more may be released later.

For the engine, the Jetta VA7 relies on a 1.4-liter turbo four-pot to propel it with 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW). The transmission is seven-speed dual-clutch with no other options.
