Skoda Superb liftback goes PHEV

Skoda’s Superb liftback will soon be available as a plug-in hybrid, following the example of its wagon-shaped sibling.

It will get a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine rated at 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and an electric motor capable of 116 PS (114 hp / 87 kW). The motor is built into the car’s dual-clutch transmission and helps the main engine drive the front wheels. The hybrid power output is capped at 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW). A 25.7-kWh battery pack mounted under the rear seats supplies electricity, but the range remains to be announced.

The production is scheduled for Q2 2025.
