Nissan Sylphy facelift teased in China

The Chinese branch of Nissan has posted the first official photos of its post-facelift Sylvia sedan. Co-designed with Dongfeng, the local bestseller is set to receive minor exterior tweaks while keeping the tech intact.

According to AutoHome, the launch will most likely take place in Q1 2026. The car in the gallery sports a new front fascia now considered standard for all Nissan models for China. The V-shaped motifs are still there, but they are now achieved by a two-tone finish of the front bumper and not the grille shape like before. The hood stays the same, while the headlights look only slightly tweaked.

A look from behind reveals a single LED strip for the taillights, but little else. The sides are sculped in a subtly different way, but the wheelbase stays the same at 2,712 mm (106 inches).

The only engine submitted to the country’s patent and certification database so far is a naturally aspirated mill rated at 135 PS (133 hp / 99 kW). This engine is available for the pre-facelift Sylphy as well, where it works in tandem with a continuously variable transmission. Other options will likely be announced later, including at least one hybrid powertrain. We expect to see a major interior redesign, too.
