This is the world’s one and only Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake

Aston Martin has partnered up with Bertone to build just one Rapide supercar in a Shooting Brake body. It went up on sale last week with a touch over 38,000 km (23,500 miles) since 2013.

The car is known as the Jet 2+2. It was built for a private customer, but Aston Martin decided to simultaneously dedicate it to its 60 years of cooperation with Bertone. It made its first public appearance at the Geneva International Motor Show 12 years ago. The original plan was to make 10 such vehicles, but the plan fell through with the bankruptcy of Bertone in 2014. The Rapide Shooting Brake went down in history as the tuner’s final work and the only car of its kind ever delivered.

Aside from a longer roofline with a panoramic section, the sporty wagon ended up with a redesigned trunk compartment and a luxury four-seat interior. The 5.9-liter V12 remained stock with 482 PS (476 hp / 355 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque heading for the wheels. A new stock Rapide could sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 5.2 seconds and ultimately reach 296 km/h (184 mph). This modded version should be comparable.
