Bentley launches a trio of affordable hybrids

The Bentley Continental GT, Continental GTC and Flying Spur can now be obtained in a wallet-friendly version called High Performance Hybrid.

It is based on the Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain that debuted in 2024 and uses the same 4.0-liter turbocharged V8, but with a milder boost pressure. As a result, it pumps out 520 PS (513 hp / 382 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of torque instead of the original’s 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft).

The electric motor is integrated into the car’s eight-speed DCT and produces the same 190 PS (187 hp / 140 kW) with 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) of torque. The combined hybrid output comes to 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) and 930 Nm (686 lb-ft). The battery is also unchanged at 25.9 kWh.

Powered by this new setup, the Continental GT can sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.7 seconds. Its convertible counterpart manages the same in 3.8 seconds. The coupe gets 85 km (52.8 miles) in all-electric mode, and the convertible gets 82 km (51 miles). The Flying Spur also stays sporty with a 3.9-second sprint time.

If you’d like a bit more interior luxury and comfort, you’ll appreciate to know that Bentley is now offering all three models in Azure trim.
