BMW M working on another imagemaker special

The M division of BMW is busy designing another limited-edition car that’s supposed to improve the image of the brand.

According to company VP Silvia Neubauer, the car will be finished in time for this year’s Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance. She says that designing such cars enhances the market positioning of BMW as a whole and helps it maintain an upmarket status, so more similar projects can be expected from the M division in the future.

Last year, BMW M unveiled a bespoke roadster called the Skytop. It’s getting a 50-unit production run. You can find it in the gallery and the video here (sorry, there are still no images of this year’s M car).
