E.C.D. makes Mustang restomods now

Up until recently, we’d mainly known E.C.D. Automotive Design for its quality Defender restomods. The American company has recently begun working with other models, though, including the iconic 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback.

\The car is known as the ’67 Ghost and benefits from a Roush supercharger installed on top of its stock 5.7-liter V8. This and other powertrain modifications allow it to pump out 472 PS (465 hp / 346 kW) to the rear wheels. To keep things stable, the pony rides on a custom chassis fabricated by Roadster Shop and benefits from modern components in the suspension, brake and wheels departments. RS SV Fox coilovers and four-piston brake calipers all around should make it a capable track runner, too.

Then there’s the all-new interior. It looks pristine but tastefully retro with Recaro bucket seats wrapped in black leather, a polished-aluminum dashboard, new steering wheel and instruments, and a modern multimedia system with Apple CarPlay support.

E.C.D. didn’t specify the cost of this particular build, but said it was looking for more clients willing to bring back iconic Mustangs of the past.
