5th-gen Hyundai Tucson reveals exterior and cabin

The next generation of the Hyundai Tucson sports a completely new exterior inspired by the company’s current design language, Art of Steel. Let’s take a better look.

If you’ve seen Hyundai’s new Elantra a.k.a. Avante for South Korea, then you should get a pretty solid idea of what to expect. The new Tucson has slimmed-down headlights with an interconnecting LED strip, boxy and angular exterior outlines, and a sporty-looking tailgate spoiler. It measures 4,700 x 1,905 x 1,685 millimeters (185 x 75 x 66.3 inches) large with a wheelbase of 2,785 mm (109.6 inches).

The interior is laconic and also a major detour from the old design. A large display of the new Pleos Connect infotainment system dominates the dashboard, sitting next to a tiny digital dash strip. The center tunnel has no transmission selector on it, freeing space for a pair of wireless charging pads, two cup holders, and a box.

All powertrain specs are pending. It’s already official that the new Tucson will be available with two upgrade packages: the city-bound N-Line and the off-road-themed XRT. The latter will include a new radiator grille, trunk area lighting, and bumper guards for some very light cross-country driving.

Th first deliveries in South Korea are slated for the end of 2026. Europe and the United States will get their fifth-generation Hyundai Tucson in early 2027.
