AC Schnitzer accessorizes the new BMW 5-Series

The new BMW M5 PHEV might be a stone’s throw away, but while it still hasn’t premiered, AC Schnitzer treats us to its own selection of aftermarket options for the 5-Series models already on sale, including the electric i5.

Reducing drag was one of the main priorities when designing the body kit, the wheels and the suspension. The company proposes installing 10mm (0.4-inch) wheel spaces at both ends and lowering the car by 15–30 mm (0.6–1.2 inches) depending on the limitations of your particular version.

Some components require the factory M-Sport package to be installed. Most are compatible with the 5-Series Touring as well, but not the rear spoilers. The engine upgrades are also still in development.

Interior additions boil down to aluminum pedal pads, a footrest and special trims for the key holder and the iDrive controller.

Price-wise, new wheels are going to be your most expensive option if you choose them, priced up to €5,890 in Europe depending on the size and finish. A front splitter adds €1,290, side skirts add another €900, and trunk/roof spoilers come in at €540 and €490, respectively. The lowering springs cost €490, and the spacers will set you back €232.
