Video: 1,000-HP Nissan GT-R R34 vs. Corvette Z06 vs. GT-R Nismo R35

The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is a formidable highway racer with plenty of power to spare, but it has its drawbacks, as the latest video by Throttle House shows. It is a drag race between the Z06, a stock Nissan GT-R R35 Nismo and a tuned R34 GT-R.

The Nissan GT-R Nismo R35 drives all four of its wheels with the help of a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 making 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) and 652 Nm (481 lb-ft) of torque. It weighs 1,754 kilograms (3,867 pounds).

The R34 makes use of a 3.0-liter V6 TT dialed all the way up to 1,014 PS (1,000 hp / 746 kW). It also weighs way less than its more recent rival.

As for the ‘Vette, it packs 670 PS (661 hp / 493 kW) and sends the torque to the rear axle. The 5.5-liter V8 makes 623 Nm (459 lb-ft), and the car is actually slightly lighter than the standard R34.
