Europe’s only convertible SUV gets lowering springs
Off-road cabriolets are a niche market through and through, so there is little surprise that the Volkswagen T-roc Cabriolet is the only current example on sale in Europe. It is a nice vehicle, but its OEM suspension springs are a trade-off. H&R tries to address this with its latest upgrade kit.
For €279, you get a lowering spring set that reduces the ride height by 35 mm (1.4”) on both axles. It works best with stock shocks and is said to improve handling in the city and on the highway. It also reduces rolling in curves, especially if you go fast. The rated load is the same as stock, so extra careful driving is not needed.
Some time ago, the same tuner lowered the standard VW T-Roc R SUV (see video).
