2027 Lexus RX spied testing

Based on these images it received from a spy photographer, CarBuzz believes the luxury SUV won’t change much on the outside while getting an all-new interior for its next model year.

Based on the localization of the wrap, the bumpers are about the only parts here that are due a redesign. You may discern a subtly revised middle air intake and new side intakes, as well as a reshaped rear end, but that’s about it. Check out the video for a reminder of what the current Lexus RX looks like.

Although the interior is barely shown at all, you can still spot a tall, standalone infotainment screen in the middle of the dash. That’s not something the current RX has, and instead looks like something straight out of the ES sedan (featured in the last photo of the gallery above). Based on this, CarBuzz supposes that the RX facelift will wind up with a completely redone interior, including a new steering wheel, a different center console, a new front panel and dash, and an upgraded infotainment system.

In contrast, the powertrains likely won’t change much, if at all. Both ICE and hybrid variants are high on our list of expectations, while the all-electric RX that rumors predicted a year ago may or may not materialize in the current market climate.

It’s official that the new RX debuts later this year, so the premiere shouldn’t be too far off.
