Three classical Alfa Romeo concepts go up on sale for $20M

The B.A.T. 5, 7 and 9 all date back to the 1950s era, and their current owner expects to get U.S. $20,000,000 out of the deal. Let us have a closer look at the exhibits.

Italian coachbuilder Bertone made all three vehicles. The B.A.T. 5 uses the Alfa Romeo 1900 Sprint chassis and draws its power from a four-cylinder engine rated at 90 hp (67 kW). The Number 7 is essentially just an updated version of the first concept, and the Number 9 is a major step forward from the two. It looks much more like an actual production vehicle and sports the company’s trademark radiator grille, improved aerodynamics, acceptable road-legal lights, and downsized rear fins that improve visibility.

A number of paintings by well-known artists accompanies the trio to the auction.
