Bugatti’s next big reveal is a V16-powered hybrid hypercar known as the Tourbillon. It costs from U.S. $4 million and is expected to ship later this year, but in the meantime, prototypes are still running their tests on public roads.
Bugatti-Rimac CEO Mate Rimac has recently posted a short video from the tests of the 1,800-PS (1,775-hp / 1,324-kW) coupe. It depicted a pair of pre-production vehicles running on snowy roads, skidding into corners and cutting through dense fog.
Shortly after that video went online, someone sent Carscoops a couple of photos allegedly showing one of these prototypes buried in snow. It looks like the test crew had to recover it with a shovel. The company hasn’t remarked on the incident, leaving us to guess whether it was a planned test or the result of a handling error.
Capable of hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill in around two seconds, the Tourbillon is coming to the market limited to 250 production units.
