Chery has updated its Arrizo 8 Pro saloon with a new front fascia, some extra equipment and an improved base engine. Orders are already being processed starting from 113,900 CNY, or $16,880.
The new dimensions are 4,800 x 1,843 x 1,469 millimeters (189 x 72.6 x 57.8 inches) with 2,790 mm (109.8 inches) between the axles. Biggest exterior changes include the front bumper and radiator grille, while the sides and the rear end remain largely untouched.
Inside, the transmission selector now resides at the steering column, freeing space for a wireless charging pad and a storage box in the tunnel. The base trim now offers a 10.25-inch digital dashboard alongside a 15.6-inch infotainment system screen. Adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera system are also part of the standard spec. Paying a premium unlocks options from the company’s Falcon 500 ADAS package.
The entry-level Arrizo 8 Pro 1.6 TGDI has been reworked with performance in mind, boosting the output to 200 PS (197 hp / 147 kW) and 310 Nm (229 lb-ft) of torque. All higher trims ship with the 2.0 TGDI powertrain still rated at 254 PS (251 hp / 187 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft). A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission comes standard in all versions.
