22-year-old, supercar-engined Dodge Ram pickup poised to win $100k+

Around two decades ago, Ram – which was still a nameplate of Dodge back then – produced a particularly angry pickup truck name the SRT-10, landing it with a Dodge Viper V10. It was a wild ride, so despite a production run of more than 10,000 units, better-preserved examples are still sought after today. Case in point: this low-mileage machine being traded on Bring a Trailer right now.

In case you forgot, the 8.3-liter, naturally aspirated V10 that powered the Dodge Ram was good for 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW) and 712 Nm (525 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed manual transmission drove the rear end via a limited-slip rear differential. Armed with this powertrain, the truck hit 96.6 km/h (60 mph) in less than five seconds and could attain a top speed of nearly 250 km/h (155 mph).

The example on sale apparently retains its Flame Red exterior along with 22-inch wheels shod in Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires. The original owner didn’t skim on the equipment, either, opting for things like cruise control, six-disc CD changer, an Infinity audio system with a potent subwoofer, a Hurst gear shifter, and an air conditioner to boot. Better yet, the truck only has around 4,750 kilometers (2,950 miles) to show for being 22 years old.

The bidding currently sits at $50,000, but we can imagine it crossing $100,000 in the two days that remain.
