The 2027 Honda Civic Hybrid will incorporate the S+ Shift system. This feature, previously seen in the Prelude, will be available on the Sport Touring trim for both sedan and hatchback body styles.
When activated, the S+ Shift system simulates a geared, shiftable transmission. Drivers can use paddle shifters to change virtual gears, accompanied by virtual rev-matching and enhanced engine sounds piped into the cabin. This system will be exclusive to the Sport Touring Hybrid trims, with the standard Sport Hybrid models not offering this feature.
Additionally, the 2027 Civic lineup will introduce a new Sport-L trim. Positioned as the highest trim for non-hybrid Civics, it will include features such as leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone climate control, illuminated vanity mirrors, a passenger-side seatback pocket, and silver-colored interior trim. While 2027 Civics are expected to arrive at dealerships soon, the Sport-L trim is anticipated to be available later in the year.
