Espionage photos
When Ford introduced the Evos at the Auto Shanghai show a couple of months ago (see video), everyone thought it would replace the Fusion model in the United States and the Mondeo in Europe. The company denied it, saying it was a China-only release, but latest evidence suggests the contrary.
These spy photos have just been made in Germany, depicting an Evos test vehicle with what looked like production-ready headlight and body designs. Despite the camouflage, there is little mistaking the Evos in those outlines, especially at the front end.
Having said that, the prototype seems a little bit longer than the Chinese version and rides lower. It also looks a bit more like a sedan and has distinct tailpipes at the rear. As such, it is probably a plug-in hybrid and not an all-electric car.
