VW coming to China with a “new automotive DNA”

Volkswagen plans to spin off a whole series of new vehicles for the Chinese domestic market. It will debut at the Auto Shanghai show this month.

According to the announcement, there will be three major premieres. FAW-VW will demonstrate an all-electric light passenger car, SAIC-VW will showcase a hybrid B-class SUV, and VW Anhui (joint enterprise with JAC) will bring along an SUV EV.

The company claims that active participation of Chinese partners in the development of these vehicles allowed it to cut its typical development times by more than 30%.
