Xiaomi has submitted some details about its second production car – an electric SUV known as the YU7 – to the Ministry of Industry database in China.
As it turns out, the YU7 can be RWD and AWD. The single-motor version uses a 320-PS (316-hp / 235-kW) unit to drive the rear wheels. It maxes out at 240 km/h (149 mph) and doesn’t have any range estimations yet.
The AWD spec uses a 300-PS (296-hp / 220-kW) motor at the front and a 391-PS (386-hp / 288-kW) motor at the back for a combined output of 691 PS (682 hp / 508 kW). It can reach 253 km/h (157 mph) at most.
Buyers of the AWD version will be choosing from three battery sizes. We don’t know any specific kilowatt-hour ratings yet, but Xiaomi says they will be good for 670, 750 and 760 kilometers of CLTC-rated range (416, 466 and 472 miles, respectively). Power economy comes to 16.6, 14.9 and 14.8 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers, respectively.
The YU7 will reach the showrooms in China this summer. It will be around 5 meters (195.3”) long with a 3-meter (117.2”) wheelbase and will start from 250,000 Yuan or so.
