Xiaomi poaches 2 BMW engineers

The Chinese IT giant dreams about an international expansion and needs a car design HQ in Europe in order to proceed.

Xiaomi has now officially hired Rudolf Dittrich to fill in the role of the Managing Director of this R&D center. Dittrich has 15 years of experience in the same role at BMW. Reportedly, the company also recruited Jannis Hellwig, also from BMW, as its Lead Engineer.

The company is still looking for a Chief Designer and a Lead Designer for its European HQ.
